Chloe Rocks the Fedora!

Chloe rocks the fedora!

What a Friday morning here in the high desert, …plenty of sunshine, …cool green grass, …and a park all to ourselves. It was also a good time to try out my new cap - or more distinctly - my new fedora. If you know your hats, you’ll know the fedora styled cap, it's a hat with a full circling soft brim and an indented crown that came into fashion in the late 1800s.

Their popularity soared during the 1920s through the 1950s, with a styling that made them popular for all sorts of activities, from recreational play, to crime gangsters of the prohibition era. They’ve been a fashion statement for many, but their design of a wide brim, especially made sense for protecting one’s head from wind and rain. In sun laden New Mexico, it’s their protection against the intense sunshine along with their ties to the old west that makes them always popular.

No wonder, …Chloe wanted to rock the fedora!

A little too big?
A dog, a hat, and plenty of sunshine!
