Emma, "An Update"

After placing an inquiry for more on Emma’s story to the City of Aztec Animal Shelter, See Emma, I received some new information that I wanted to pass on to anyone that might be interested in adapting her, especially if you're located in New Mexico.

The information below was current as of Tuesday, August 4, 2015:

According to Tina Roper, Director, Aztec Animal Care & Control, she let me know that Emma, who is two years old, had a potential adapting family that fell through early in the week. Tina wanted to point out that it had nothing to do with Emma. Emma is not a stray, but was signed over to the shelter by her former owner.  Emma has no issues and no health concerns, and she is good around other dogs, but a little shy with people but only until she gets to know them. She is not spayed (but she will be before leaving the Aztec shelter). Emma is current on vaccines and is heartworm negative. Her adaption fee is $120. Tina also stated that Emma is to be transferred to an animal rescue group in the neighboring state of Utah on Monday, August 10, 2015, if not adapted from the Aztec location by that time. It is a rescue group that the City of Aztec works with on a regular basis that has agreed to take her.
